RIBBIT RIBBIT! Frogs and toads play an important role as indicators of an ecosystem’s health. With many amphibian populations in decline worldwide, citizens can help provide valuable data useful in monitoring their nearby populations. FrogWatch USA™ is a citizen science program that’s great for families, students and scout groups ages 12 and up – and it’s free for registered participants! This training will be held at Bluebonnet Swamp’s Education Building. Additional training sessions may be scheduled at BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo. For more information about FrogWatch, visit www.aza.org/frogwatch. All participants will receive information packets and frog call audio CDs. Additional program activities may follow the two-hour training. Stick around for more amphibian fun – bring a snack if you’d like!
