It’s time to get down and Derby at Farr Park

Bring your own bowtie, we'll bring the bourbon. BREC's Farr Park Equestrian Center, 6402 River Road, hosts second annual Derby Day May 7, 3-6pm.

Guests are invited to a Kentucky Derby viewing party, featuring a live viewing of the race on the big screen. Food and classic drinks will accompany a variety of Derby-themed games and activities including hat and bowtie contests; a silent auction; horseshoe games; stick horse races; bugle blowing contests; and more! Visitors will get to experience unique Kentucky Derby traditions complete with Mint Julips and floppy hats.

Eight-top round tables can be purchased as a whole, or by individual seats at $200 per table or $25 per person. Each ticket includes one free Mint Julep and a free wine tasting. Food will be provided by Mike Anderson's Seafood, Pete's Lagniappe catering, and more. The event is recommended for adults only, although children will not be prohibited.

Tickets and more information available at brec.org/derbyday or 225-769-7805.
