BREC Splash Pads Open March 17

The weather is warming up and it is time to cool off in East Baton Rouge Parish. BREC will open park splash pads at Forest, Greenwood, Highland, Jackson and Zachary Community Parks on Friday, March 17 for the 2017 season. City-Brooks Community Park splash pad is currently undergoing repairs and will open later in the season.   

Each location will operate splash pads daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. until October.

Forest Community Park splash pad can be activated with a green push button on the three-foot light blue pole located in the splash pad spray area.

Greenwood Community Park splash pad can be activated with a green push button on the two three foot yellow poles located in the splash pad spray area.

Highland Community Park splash pad can be activated with a silver push button on the on the three foot green pole located next to the recreation center.  

Jackson Community Park splash pad can be activated with a brass push button on the three foot yellow pole located near the tennis courts.

Zachary Community Park splash pad can be activated with a brass push button on the three-foot yellow pole located in the splash pad spray area.

City-Brooks Community Park splash pad can be activated with a green push button on the three-foot brown pole next to the spray feature area at the edge of the brick near the landscaping.

At each park, the button will engage the systems' spray features and run for approximately two to three minutes and turn off. Pushing the button will activate the system again until 8 p.m.
