BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo Hosts Sixth annual Zoo Zoom 5K Aug. 28
It's time to sprint, gallop and trot to the finish line at BREC's Baton Rouge Zoo in hopes to claim the much-coveted ostrich egg trophy. Join Club South Runners at the zoo for its sixth annual Zoo Zoom 5K on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 8:15 a.m. The day also includes a children's 1/2-mile fun run at 7:45 a.m., so the whole family can participate. Registration may be done by mail or on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m.

BREC is offering dog obedience classes on Thursdays, starting July 8, from 6-7 p.m. at Raising Cane's Dog Park at City-Brooks Community Park, 1442 City Park Ave., and on Saturdays, starting July 10, from 9-10 a.m. at Burbank Dog Park at Burbank Sports Complex, 12400 Burbank Drive. The cost per six-week class is $75.
