- The park re-opened to the public on October 19, 2006 at 11 a.m.
- BREC recently completed extensive renovations of the 35-year-old, 10-acre park.
- A brand new playground with safety surfacing was installed at the park. The ball field was renovated with rustproof fencing and backstops. The park also recieved new perimeter lighting treatments and the clearing of sight linesused by park security patrols. The park is now handicap accessible.
- An area was removed to make room for a practice field for football teams since the park is used by local residents and is often used by BREC's sports teams.
- The parks renovation costs $70,000 and was paid for through the Capital Improvement Fund's Pay-As-You-Go Fund, recently renewed by voters in May of 2004.
