Interactive Recreation Program (IRP)
6201 Florida Blvd.
BREC developed an electronic collaborative leisure environment based on the Interactive Recreation Program (IRP), which established an alternative approach for motivating youth toward health and exercise. The IRP is a variety of modern technologies specializing in movement concepts through exergaming.
Exergaming is a term used for video games that also provide exercise, having one element of exercise and one element of gaming. BREC is applying this structure of recreation and leisure "exertainment" to encourage more people to live active and healthier lifestyles.
