Event Professional Artist Series - Pressed Flora

BREC Art is very proud to introduce our first Professional Artist Seres! These classes are taught by local, professional artists and include flora art and weaving. 

Pressed Flora Workshop with Botanical Artist, Connie McLeod

From the Artist: Join us for a personal, hands-on flora pressing workshop. Participants will learn the basics of pressing flora for optimal results, be guided through placement of the pressed plants, and finish the workshop with a beautiful personalized floating frame ornament. All supplies provided. Connie McLeod is a Baton Rouge native and received her BA from LSU. She recently retired from a career as an Art Director. She has taken her love of design, and turned her small garden into her oasis, full of color and texture. She started pressing the garden flora and turning the flowers, petals, and leaves into art. She has become a renown, local botanical artist and can often be found in her friends’ gardens foraging their plants. She is a Master Gardener and a Master Naturalist.
