This brave woman was an American abolitionist born into slavery, After she escaped she made some 13 missions to rescue approximately 70 enslaved people using a network of safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. Students will paint an impressionistic portrait of Ms. Tubman using acrylic on canvas.
