Teen Leadership Training Camp

Is your teen up for a challenge this summer? BREC is proudly offering Leadership Training opportunities for 6 exceptional teens!

Through a partnership between our Teens and Adaptive divisions, we will be providing a unique summer opportunity for teens from all walks of life. Upon selection, our Leadership Training program (LT) will allow 6 mature and highly motivated teens to develop new skills such as learning how to work with individuals of varying abilities, life skills, leadership skills, career opportunities and resume building. We are providing the opportunity for 6 teens to join the staff at our Camp Sunshine, for individuals ages 16-20 with disabilities. These teens will have a counselor to guide them as well as senior camp staff to serve as mentors throughout the entire summer. They will serve as buddies for the teens that have disabilities and help guide them through daily activities. Each teen in our LT program would be challenged to lead different activities throughout the summer, understand behavior modification and build skills all while gaining a better understanding of their peers. Beyond the unique opportunity we will be training teens to work with differing populations thus increasing opportunities within summer camps for inclusion by providing trained staff.
