BREC Hosts “Workshopping the Surreal” Painting Workshop

Start the new year with a fresh perspective—a surreal one

EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH—Delve into your subconscious and discover your untapped artistic genius at BREC's "Workshopping the Surreal" painting workshop Jan. 14 from 6-9 p.m. at BREC's Womack Park, 6201 Florida Blvd.

Led by artist Lily Betancourt, participants, ages 14 and older, will learn how artists like Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte composed their work while they tap into their own creative potential by testing the boundaries of their imagination. Participants will complete an acrylic painting of their own.

The fee is $45, including materials.
