Vibin' Yoga

Mid City Madness 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Grab a few teammates and join us for BREC's Mid-City Madness! Show off your bag or clamp up your opponent in your march to the championship. Entrance into the tournament comes with a three-game guarantee.

Zoo + Me Morning

This program is designed for 3-to-5-year-old children accompanied by a parent or guardian. Every Zoo & Me Morning incorporates exciting activities, including animal encounters, art projects, "Zooper" snacks, and many other hands-on projects that you and your child can enjoy together.

Ballers Up 3-on-3 Tournament

Are you ready to develop 6 (3 on 3) players on the court where players can touch the ball more often, establish man-to-man defense a little easier, and work on other fundamentals like dribbling, passing, and shooting? Join in on the fun 3 on 3 tournament.

End of Summer Pool Pawty

Join us for the End of Summer Pool Pawty at Liberty Lagoon. Please be advised that this is a dog-friendly event. Participants will encounter dogs in various conditions (i.e. wet, unleashed, etc.) For the safety of everyone and every dog, all participants must comply with the “Pool Pawty” rules that can be found at LibertyLagoon.com. Proof of Rabies & Kennel Cough (Bordetella) is Required Event limit 100 dogs per session.

BREW at the Zoo
BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo
The Baton Rouge Zoo Foundation proudly presents Brew at the Zoo on Friday, September 26, 2025—our most popular fall fundraising event and a favorite among beer lovers! This exclusive after-hours experience invites guests aged 21 and older to sample a wide array of brews, including local homebrews, craft beers, and restaurant favorites. Enjoy mouthwatering bites from local eateries, jam out to live music, and meet some of the Zoo’s most charismatic Animal Ambassadors up close.

Kids Fit + Fun Fest: Celebrating National Health Day

Extreme Sports Park at Perkins Road Community Park
Come on out and celebrate the anniversary of the opening of the Extreme Sports Park with a little bit of friendly competition. We will be hosting a BMX Skate Park Contest, BMX Dirt Jump Contest, and a Skateboarding Contest here in the park. This is a free event so bring your bikes and boards and get ready to roll!

PROFESSIONAL ARTIST SERIES: Pressed Flora Workshop
Baringer Road Art Center
From the Artist: Join us for a personal, hands-on flora pressing workshop. Participants will learn the basics of pressing flora for optimal results, be guided through the placement of the pressed plants, and finish the workshop with a beautiful personalized floating frame ornament. All supplies provided. Connie McLeod is a Baton Rouge native and received her B.A. from LSU. She recently retired from a career as an art director and has since turned her garden into an oasis full of color and texture. She began pressing garden flora and transforming flowers, petals, and leaves into art. A renowned local botanical artist, she is also a Master Gardener and a Master Naturalist.
