On Saturday, June 29, Baton Rouge Gallery’s (“BRG”) popular and inventive summer film series presents arguably the best silent comedic film of all time, Buster Keaton’s “The General,” set to a live, never-before-heard score for the film performed by funk/jazz fusion band Righteous Buddha.

BREC’s Liberty Lagoon will not open this weekend, due to the threat of inclement weather. Liberty Lagoon staff will keep a close eye on weather reports throughout the summer season and will make announcements through the media, web postings and the Liberty Lagoon Facebook page when closures are necessary.

BREC Cancels the Doug Williams Football Camp, Dance and Cheer Clinic Due to Inclement Weather

BREC has canceled the Doug Williams Football Camp, Dance and Cheer Clinic scheduled for Sat., May 11 at BREC’s Memorial Stadium due to inclement weather. BREC will send out an announcement if the program is rescheduled.

Vote for BREC and Help Improve Burbank Park Dog Park

BREC’s Burbank Park Dog Park and the BREC Foundation have been nominated to win a national competition which will fund improvements to the most heavily used dog park in the parish.
