Located in south Baton Rouge, the park is on the east side of Interstate 10. It has a swimming pool, playground area, tennis courts and an open area.
In an effort to link these two neighborhood parks, BREC has established connection trails throughout the area to provide easy access from one facility to the next. This is a large park serving south Baton Rouge. Interstate 10 runs across the 50-acre City Park Lake.
City Park provides a tennis center, a 9-hole historic golf course, a recreation center, the Baton Rouge Gallery, picnic areas, basketball courts, a labyrinth, dog park, 1.72 miles of walking trails, a playground area and two lakes for fishing.
Raising Cane's Dog Park at City Brooks Community Park
The Raising Cane's Dog Park at City Brooks Community Park was opened to the public on May 31, 2008. The dog park is open seven days a week, from sunrise to sunset, at no charge.
