Revive Your Mind Hike

Forest bathing, Nature Rx, Ecotherapy, Green Peace…it’s been called many things but the message is the same, NATURE is good for you! If life has you spinning and you feel out of balance this is the hike for you. We will use time in nature to slow down and take a break through mindful, purposeful observation. We will hike off the beaten path at BREC’s largest Conservation Area using the outdoors as a window to relaxation and a free mind.

Join BREC naturalists and local bird experts on a journey to see all that our local waterways have to offer! You will get the full safari experience by kayak where you can view our parish’s different habitats and wildlife.

BioBlitz

Grab your field guides and boots and join BREC naturalists and local scientists as we document the diversity of life, or “biodiversity”, of Greenwood Community Park. This is a full 24 hour event starting on Friday and ending Saturday afternoon where experts and citizen scientists will search on land and water to find and identify as many species as humanly possible.
