Steps for a Successful Online Registration

Know your user ID and password ahead of time. If you cannot remember it, then use the "Having Trouble" link and click on "Forgot Password."

Not sure if you have an account?

Click the "Contact our Office" link and send BREC a message with your name and address. BREC staff will get back to you as soon as possible. You can also email at webtrac@brec.org.

Never registered online before?

Use the "Having Trouble" link and click "Need an Account."

To make sure you get the information, you must make your login request no later than April 10. BREC cannot guarantee that staff will answer questions asked after this date by April 13 at 9 a.m. Please be prepared.

Login to the website before April 13 to make sure you are familiar with the layout and navigation. Also, look at BREC's help file for tips and answers to most questions. After you login, go to the More Info/Help document (PDF). You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open this file.

To assist in registration, BREC provides the six-digit activity numbers for all day camp locations. After login, the site displays the entire activity directory. At the top of this page is a search box. Enter the appropriate six-digit code into this box to display all sections for that activity.  For example, if you want to see Plank Road sessions, use the chart below and enter Plank Road's number in the search box, then the list displays only the eight sessions at Plank Road.

Deposits

BREC allows a registration deposit equal to half of the session(s) fee from April 13-23. Anyone who wishes to hold a spot in any session can do so by paying half of the total fee. Registrants must pay the remaining balances of the registration fees no later than April 23. Anyone who does not pay their balance by this time will forfeit their original deposit and their spot in camp. The original deposit is non-refundable, but is transferable. Deposits are not available for online registration.

Refunds

Registrants must request all refunds on a Day Camp/Extended Care Refund form by email to summercamp@brec.org or by fax: 225-273-6407. If a registrant makes a refund request more than 10 business days prior to the start of the session, BREC issues the full session fee minus a $10 transaction fee.  If a registrant makes a refund request 10 business days or less from the start of the session, BREC will not issue a refund.

BREC does not issue a refund for any session already in progress. BREC assesses a $2 transaction fee for all refund requests for extended care only.  BREC bases all refund fees on each transaction. The date printed on the refund request (email or faxed) determines if a refund is granted.

All checks must clear before BREC processes any refunds. Please allow 3-4 weeks for BREC to issue a refund. If you do not have computer access, go to the day camp site and request a Day Camp/Extended Care Refund form or you may submit in writing by email or fax with the following information: parent's name, child's name, phone number where you may be reached, camp site, session date(s), form of payment and specify whether you made payment in person or on-line.

Financial Aid

BREC provides limited financial assistance. BREC requires all applicants to pay at least half of the registration fee for every session they plan to attend at the time of requesting a financial assistance form. All recreation centers provide financial assistance forms that include directions for completing the financial assistance process. Registrants must complete BREC's Financial Assistance Form in its entirety with the required documents attached for financial assistance in order for BREC to consider the application. BREC does not make exceptions. BREC does not offer financial assistance for out-of-parish residents.

Applications for Financial Assistance are no longer being accepted.
