Introduction to Tennis for Adults
This edition of the Introduction to Tennis for Adults takes the mystery out of a game where LOVE means zero and ALL means the score is tied. With full illustrations, the Introduction to Tennis explains in easy-to-understand language everything you need to know to start playing tennis - serving, scoring, the lines and parts of the tennis court, how to call balls out, and many other helpful tidbits. “How to Become a USTA OFFICIAL” - We Need You in Louisiana!
What is a USTA OFFICIAL?
A roving umpire, chair umpire, line umpire or referee who ensures that a tennis match is conducted under the fairest possible conditions.
HOW TO BECOME A USTA OFFICIAL?
Certified officials are involved in the game of tennis in a variety of roles; ranging from overseeing local, junior, adult or senior tournaments to collegiate events to officiating on court at professional tournaments like the U.S. Open.

Junior Tennis Outreach Program (Ages 6-17) Come out and learn to play tennis at Greenwood Community Park Tennis Center! Saturday, April 28, from 1-3 p.m. Beverages, nutritional snacks, and tennis racquets will be provided. Participants will receive tennis instruction from certified tennis professionals, play tennis games, and have an opportunity to win prizes. FREE. The Warrior Series Patriots at Play - A day for veterans and active-duty military to come out and enjoy a morning of tennis, ping-pong, shuffleboard, wheelchair tennis, and horseshoes at Independence Community Park Tennis Center.
