Happy Holidays
It's the most wonderful time of the year! We are ending the year with several holiday events so join us for the festivities. There are several volunteer opportunities across the parish for Gingerbread House Decorating and new this year, Let It Sneaux, our version of a winter snow fest! Don't miss out on an opportunity to give back this season. As we close out the year, we are excited about what 2020 will bring. Thank you again to all who have contributed time and service this year.

P.S. Registered persons who volunteered 30 or more hours this year qualify for a $500 state income tax deduction. Don't forget to submit your time to volunteer@brec.org by the second week in January.

CONTINUOUS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Park Scorecard Project
The park scorecard project consists of going out to one or more of BREC parks and giving it a grade based on six specific components: cleanliness, accessibility, greenspaces, functionality, and amenities. Volunteers complete a digital survey, upload a few photos from the visit, and click submit; it's that simple. The purpose of this project is to get unbiased feedback on our parks. This is a great opportunity for persons college aged or affiliated with an organization or business that are looking to earn service hours. These surveys can be completed at any time at the convenience of the volunteer. We have over 180 parks so there are many to choose from. Parks are assigned by BREC's Volunteer Manager.
