BREC Summer Day Camps are a family tradition in Baton Rouge! Parents recognize BREC's quality activities in our diverse camp structures. Children experience games, field trips, sports, friendships and fun while the summer months fly by. Thousands of children have enjoyed our camps in the last 40 years. From recreation and theatre to animals and science, there is a camp for children of all ages and interests!
You may register in person at the center your child will be attending camp or online for selected camps. Cash, check or credit cards accepted. (Visa, Mastercard, Discover).
Click here to download the refund form. ALL refunds must be requested on the Day camp/Extended Care Refund form and sent via email to daycamp@brec.org or by fax: 225-273-6407. If a refund request is made 10 business days or more prior to the start of the session, the full session fee minus a $10 transaction fee will be issued. If a refund request is made within 10 days of the start of the session, of the session fee will be issued. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN FOR ANY SESSION ALREADY IN PROGRESS. Refund requests for extended care only will be assessed a $2 transaction fee. All refund fees are based on each transaction. Email or fax printed dates are sole factor in qualifying on refund dates. All fees paid by check must clear bank before any refunds are processed. Please allow 2 - 4 weeks for refunds or credit back to the credit card.
Eight, one-week sessions beginning June 1 through July 24.
Days/Times: Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Early Drop Off: 7-8 a.m. Late Pick Up: 5-6 p.m.

Financial Assistance forms are available at the recreation-based day camps only. Financial Assistance is not available for specialty camps. Parents or guardians will need to bring a copy of the their last two paycheck stubs, or an attached social security statement, or if unemployed, a budget slip from the Office of Family Support must accompany the application. If self-employed, then parents and guardians must provide a copy of their 2008 W-2 form. All information submitted will be verified prior to final approval. The approval process will take 3 to 4 days following on-site registration. |
