July Dates + Topics:
11 July = “The Place Called Outer Space” Only one hour away if you could drive straight up—the intrigue of space began thousand of years ago, reached a golden age in the century span prior to this year and could have a platinum age depending on what choices we make on these coming nights…. [Postponed from 30 May.]
18 July = “Our Birth Stars” For years HRPO has been promoting the concept of birth stars. We now will premiere this month the Star in Focus List. Please come learn about both!
25 July = “The Discovery of Pluto” In 1930 American Clyde Tombaugh discovered the first of what we now call trans-Neptunian objects. Known as a planet for several decades before being promoted, this little fellow holds a special place in the hearts of all skygazers.
