BREC Art wants everyone in the community to experience fun and creativity through art and imagination. Open minds, new experiences and a lifelong appreciation of the arts is our goal! This class is free, but space is limited and registration is required. In-parish residents only.
Those interested in working on entry pieces for upcoming Swamp Art Show Series shows can visit the Swamp on these days for inspiration—FOR FREE! Whether your gear includes canvases or cameras, come out and enjoy this paint-out and field-shoot day. Bring your own supplies – we’ll provide workspace indoors and out for you to create your masterpieces!

Each session features a beautifully illustrated and written children’s book. Students will create a piece of art based on the message of the book and take home both their art and the book! Thanks to Line 4 Line’s book donations, this class is free – but registration is required.

Each Friday morning, participants are invited to join other like-minded creatives while working on their own personal projects, visiting, and receiving honest, caring feedback. Come find your special pumpkin this season at the Magnolia Mound Pumpkin Patch! The Friends of Magnolia Mound and the East Baton Rouge Master Gardener volunteers will offer Magnolia Mound pumpkins for sale. Special activities for children will be offered at this family friendly event. Admission free for the First Free Sunday opening.
