Farr Park Horse Lover's Camp

2023 Farr Park Summer Camps

Horse Lover’s Camp

Farr Park Equestrian Center divides each weekly session of the camp into three different groups: Pony (P), Western (W), and English (E). Campers learn basic riding skills, horsemanship, horse care, and stable management, in addition to fun crafts and friendship. This one-week camp will focus on riding in a fun, age-appropriate environment, taught by an instructor specializing in teaching younger riders. All campers will share a horse with a partner, and ride daily. When registering, be sure to enroll in the proper age group and riding style.

Junior Horsemanship Camp

This camp educates young equestrians about more advanced riding, horsemanship and horse care. Junior Horsemanship participants should have previous riding experience (beginner through advanced) in any discipline, and campers may choose to ride English or Western, while being exposed to different riding styles. Riders will ride daily, go on a trail ride, and learn how to lunge, wrap legs, muck stalls, feed, bathe, medicate, and load onto a trailer.
