Event Concept To Cut: Filmmakers Workshop

Step behind the camera and learn the art of storytelling through film with Obatiyé Dent, an accomplished actor, director, and producer from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
In this five-week hands-on production workshop, participants will explore every stage of the filmmaking process—from pre-production to post-production. Under Obatiyé’s professional guidance, students will learn how to plan, shoot, and edit their own short film projects while gaining a real-world understanding of how a production comes to life.
Each session breaks down the technical and creative steps needed to turn ideas into finished visual stories, empowering participants with the tools and teamwork skills used by professionals in film and television.
