Event BREC Green Force Volunteer Training

Become a member of BREC's Green Force and help us create a greener and healthier East Baton Rouge Parish! We are looking for individuals interested in conservation management and able to contribute at least 15 volunteer hours per year, stewarding our conservation areas. Perks include spending time outside, creating a healthier environment, t-shirts, and tax breaks! Volunteers who complete the training will become part of our official volunteer force, who can work in the field without BREC staff supervision. Lunch will be provided.

Green Force Program Requirements:

• A minimum of 15 hours of service a year towards BREC Conservation Projects.
• Attend one of our biannual training days.
• 16 years or older (exceptions for youth with a parent willing to co-volunteer with child)
• Conduct projects under BREC Conservation guidelines and procedures as stated in the manual and during trainings, including recording of all hours.
• Complete the Volunteer Application and pass the background check.
