2021 Camp Sunshine
Camp Sunshine BREC is planning to have Camp Sunshine in-person this summer. However, this will be determined by the government and CDC restrictions and recommendations as we get closer to our camp season.
Camp Sunshine is an exclusive summer camp designed for campers with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering different sections for ages 6-10, ages 11-15 and ages 16-20. All BREC summer camps are inclusive, but Camp Sunshine is for campers who require a smaller group setting with trained staff of this expertise. Each themed week consists of recreational opportunities, arts and crafts and inclusive activities with other recreational camps to give the campers social opportunities to interact with their peers.
Before registration is complete, our staff would like to meet your camper to determine if Camp Sunshine is the right opportunity to provide the most meaningful camp experience. Campers needing increased assistance (toileting, feeding, or more than a 1:5 staff ratio, due to challenging behaviors) may be required to have an aide provided by the parents/guardians.
To schedule an appointment for an assessment, beginning March 1:
