BREC has once again earned national recognition for its commitment to excellence in parks and recreation. The National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) presented BREC with the Park and Recreation Facility Class III Award for its New Howell Recreation Center and Pool Project during the 2025 NACPRO Awards Ceremony held on June 12 in Detroit, Michigan.
The award honors superior facility design, functionality, and community impact in park systems serving populations between 275,001 and 500,000. The New Howell Recreation Center and Pool stands out for its forward-thinking design, inclusive programming, and the vital role it plays in providing healthy, enriching opportunities for residents of all ages.
This prestigious honor marks BREC’s 14th NACPRO award since 2002, underscoring the agency’s longstanding dedication to innovative, high-quality public recreation.
