On May 9, BREC invites guests of all ages to Forest Community Park from 12 to 3 p.m. to experience its annual Fae Fest. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their most whimsical, fae-inspired attire and step into a magical realm of imagination and fun.
Our annual Fae Fest is a celebration of all things magical and mysterious in a realm where you may be able to buy your first “crystal ball” and grab a snowball on the way out.
It is a free outdoor community event, and no registration is required.
A wide variety of interactive activities will take place throughout the grounds, including themed crafts, photo opportunities, live performances and immersive hands-on experiences. Children can learn basic swordsmanship, create potions, and explore different “realms” filled with enchanting activities.
Additional highlights include aerialist performances, live sword-fighting demonstrations, face painting, unicorn rides, inflatables and more.
Guests can also enjoy local food vendors, live music, and a mystical marketplace showcasing handmade goods, fairy-themed merchandise, crafts and jewelry!
“Fae Fest is designed to bring the community together through a whimsical, nature-inspired experience that encourages creativity, imagination and outdoor recreation,” said Imani Harrell, BREC Recreation Manager and event organizer.
“Come as you are or in costume, there’s no wrong way to experience Fae Fest. It’s a welcoming, judgment-free space, and you don’t need to be an expert in anything to enjoy it. Just bring your curiosity and a sense of fun.”
The Children’s Entrepreneurs Market will also be featured, offering attendees an opportunity to support local youth and their businesses.
