Baton Rouge, LouisianaBREC recently launched the Rapid Response Program, a new initiative that empowers the public to directly report issues in BREC parks and facilities and ensures those concerns are addressed quickly and efficiently.
The Rapid Response Program makes it easier than ever for visitors to let BREC know when something needs attention. Whether it is broken equipment, landscaping concerns, or safety issues, community members can now submit issues through a simple, streamlined system. Once the issue is submitted, BREC staff receives the notification and works to assess and provide updates on the issue’s resolution.
The public can utilize Rapid Response in any of the following formats:
Phone: 225-310-BREC (310-2732)
Text: 225-310-BREC (310-2732)

“This program supports key initiatives outlined in the Imagine Your Parks 3 strategic plan by providing the community a stronger voice and direct line of communication,” said Janet Simmons, Interim Superintendent. “By making it easier for residents to tell us when something isn’t right, we can respond faster, be more transparent, and ensure our parks stay safe, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.”
The Rapid Response Program also improves accountability by allowing BREC to track and prioritize requests, ensuring that no issue goes unnoticed. With this new system, the community can feel confident that their concerns are reaching the right team and being handled with urgency. This ticketing system also allows the public to follow the ticket from the time it is submitted until it is resolved.
The Rapid Response initiative launched publicly on September 8, 2025. Since then, 333 customer-generated tickets have been submitted and 213 have been resolved.
BREC invites the community to utilize the new program the next time they spot an issue in a BREC park or facility. For more information on how to submit a ticket, visit www.brec.org/rapidresponse.
