This class is an introduction to making art fun! Young artists will experience their first art lessons by experimenting with paint, pastels, watercolor and mixed media. Each class will utilize art basics and include guided discovery through creative thinking and teacher-led freedom of creative expression. Each class is an individual lesson and will not be repeated.
Kids in the Kitchen are mixing it up! This culinary arts program will teach young people how to use common ingredients and follow kid-friendly recipes for delicious and nutritious snacks. GUS YOUNG AVENUE PARK + HOWELL COMMUNITY PARK Wednesdays / Sept. 10-Dec. 17 / 4-5:30 p.m. Ages: 6-16
What do you do after graduation: you walk on Sunshine, of course! The Sunshine Club is here to help bridge the gap for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities by offering not only recreational experiences, but life skills and volunteer opportunities. We learn how to be productive members of the community while exploring and learning new things with fun thrown in the mix.
Green infrastructure is an interconnected network of open green spaces and parks that conserves natural ecosystem values and functions and sustains clean air and water. Green infrastructure also includes a nature-based approach to stormwater management that protects, restores, or mimics the natural water cycle.
