Youth Flag Football of Baton Rouge - Fall League

 BREC Flag Football was developed to create and maintain a positive, no- pressure atmosphere in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Through great organization, communication and convenience for parents and kids, we aim to provide an exceptional sports experience that will have parents raving and players returning season after season.

Tuesdays + Thursdays / 6:40-8:40 p.m.
$75 per player
Draft Day: Sept. 5
Season: Oct. 1-29
Registration: Aug. 1-30

Recreational Divisions:
FRESHMAN LEAGUE  K + 1st Grade
SOPHOMORE LEAGUE  2nd + 3rd Grade
JUNIOR LEAGUE  4th + 5th Grade

 

 

BREC Athletics has transition to a grade-based platform, so the school year grade will determine placement of youth. If a coach has a dispute with age requirements, he/she will need to send written notice of dispute to athletics@brec.org before any given game to evaluate any child age requirements. 

• 5v5  (Pre-K- K) - BREC Athletics will have a player exemption rule for any player who has not reached his or her 6th birthday on or before October 1, 2023, but is in the (Kindergarten), will be eligible to play.
• 5v5 (1st Grade to 2nd Grade) - BREC Athletics will have a player exemption rule for any player who has not reached his or her 9th birthday on or before October 1, 2023, but is in the (2nd or 3rd grade), will be eligible to play.
• 7v7  (3rd Grade to 4th Grade) - BREC Athletics will have a player exemption rule for any player who has not reached his or her 11th birthday on or before October 1, 2023, but is in the (3rd or 4th grade), will be eligible to play.
• 7v7 (5th Grade to 6th Grade) - BREC Athletics will have a player exemption rule for any player who has not reached his or her 13th birthday on or before October 1, 2023, but is in the (5th or 6th grade), will be eligible to play.

Louisiana Youth Football (LYF) is a program formed to provide inner city youth with a positive alternative to the streets. LYF has started its’ initiatives to improve the quality of life by enhancing the quality of the Junior Tackle Football program offered to the East Baton Rouge Parish & surrounding communities.
