These classes are for youth and adults ages 3 and up, with disabilities. These programs use instructors and volunteers to maintain low staff-to-participant ratios to better meet the needs of all. Students will focus on water exploration, water safety, breath control, leg kicks, and arm movements. Session limit is 5 participants.
BREC's Farr Park Equestrian Center and RV Campground is one of Baton Rouge, Louisiana's largest and most versatile centers for horse enthusiasts. It features indoor, outdoor, and arena (both lighted), 256 boarding stalls, horse riding trails for trail riding and RV an campground. Farr Park offers affordable horse riding lessons, both English and Western style to children and adults in Baton Rouge. The facility is located only two miles from the LSU campus and six miles from downtown Baton Rouge attractions. The campground is adjacent to the Mississippi River, located on historic River Road. It is easily accessible from Interstate 10. The campground has 108 sites (many pull-throughs) and is equipped with water and power hookups and restroom facilities.
The most popular of BREC's courses, Webb Memorial is an 18-hole course that measures 6,349 yards in length. Large oak trees line the fairways of this golf course that is ideally situated off of College Drive.
Historic City Park Golf Course features a 9-hole Tom Bendelow design, filled with rolling hills and elevation changes that are perfect for beginners (from the forward tees) and challenging for better golfers (back tees). City Park Golf Course includes a practice putting green, notable for its natural beauty, mature trees, lake vistas, small bayou and elevated terrain that varies by as much as 25 feet.
J.S. Clark is an executive style 9-hole layout, complete with a PGA style practice area. Ideal for newcomers and experienced players seeking to improve their game. Complete with wall-to-wall irrigation, excellent turf conditions are provided with 419 Bermuda Tee Boxes and Fairways, and Tif Dwarf Greens.
