Annual Report
Each year, BREC puts on an Annual Report. The Annual Report details the goals and accomplishments of the previous year while highlighting the overall community benefit BREC provides. It also outlines how BREC has fufilled the mission of contributing to a healthier, more vibrant community by providing exceptional parks, open spaces and recreational experiences for all of East Baton Rouge Parish.

IYP3 Parish-Wide Strategic Plan (January 2026)
As BREC advances its IYP3 priorities, staff continue to meet regularly to evaluate projects, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, obsolete land, and systemwide initiatives. This booklet provides progress updates through the beginning of 2026 and outlines the current status of projects across all phases.
IYP3 Project Booklet (January 2026)
This booklet highlights the major “flagship” projects planned for 2026, those currently being discussed, in design, or preparing for community engagement. These early decisions are key to keeping BREC on track as we develop Master Game Plans and begin construction within the anticipated timelines.
BREC Obsolete Land (December 2025)
BREC is reviewing its park inventory to identify parks that may be designated as obsolete and potentially removed from the system. The study outlines parks in three phases: those previously approved as obsolete, those currently under review, and those proposed for future study. Final determinations will be made following analysis and Commission approval.
