5.0 Acres - Jefferson Highway Park underwent renovation as part of the Imagine Your Parks strategic plan. The construction, completed at the end of 2016, yielded new features that appeal to a variety of interests. Two sand volleyball courts with a foot-washing station and bleachers were added, a new outdoor event and play space was constructed with a reception plaza, architectural lighting, landscaping, seating and a a new playground. The Recreation Center was heavily renovated to include new program spaces and a large event space ideal for many events such as weddings, receptions, conferences and community gatherings.
